Marine Engineering for the Great Belt Bridge

LICengineering played a major role to provide the basic hydrodynamic design that ensured sustainable belt flow  solutions for Great Belt and Øresund bridges considering the flow  to and from the inner sea waters and Baltic Sea. LIC was designed the island and peninsular extensions including design of protection islands for the bridge pylons. LIC was involved from the start of the design works in 1986. Further to these works, LICengineering has carried out design and engineering works including onshore concrete foundations, breakwater design, dike design  and harbour quay strengthening.
